I broke my own record!

This is what I woke up to yesterday. I've hit an all-time low, huh? It was 28 outside and 47 inside. My inner penguin was dancing around on Happy Feet!

I did end up FINALLY turning my heat on last night when we came home from being downtown. And, I shouldn't even tell you why, but here goes...I thought I killed my fish! I have two betta fish who I thought were dead when I went to feed them yesterday. It then occurred to me that I must have forced them into some kind of hibernation with the temperature of my house. They were both at the bottom of their bowl, not moving. But, they weren't belly-up, so I assumed they weren't dead. I turned the heat on, with the thermostat set to a balmy 62, and then left with Stud to have a birthday dinner. When we came home, the fish were alive and well. I gotta tell you, though, I woke up in the middle of the night, sweating, and had to lose a couple layers. Then, when I got up around 6am, my nose and throat were SO dry, I suddenly remembered another reason I hate to have the heat on. I promptly turned it off, and it's been off all day. Our temps are supposed to be in the high 60s for the next few days, so I'm sure I'll be able to leave it off for a while.

I woke Stud up yesterday with LOTS of birthday kisses! He managed to stumble his way upstairs, only to crawl into MY bed and get back under the covers. (Yes, that's my old lady cane, for when my plantar fasciitis flares up. And, yes, that would be my zebra-striped Snuggie on the bed. How do you think I can keep my house at 47?!)
How come, no matter how old they are, when they're asleep, they still look like they did when they were babies?
OK, don't get your panties in a bunch, cuz THIS time, Stud took the pictures while I was driving downtown to the open house. He didn't quite capture the same images I would have, but our city is still gorgeous no matter what.
This picture looks fake to me, like it's a photo backdrop.

Luckily, Stud's friend was with us, and snapped this photo of us. He looks adorable (as always!) and I look a hot mess (as always!!)
I figured out that we walked well over 10 miles yesterday. I figured I'd put that 'extra' hour to good use this morning, and sleep in, but alas, my damn internal clock still got me up at my usual time! I was going to try and take a nap today, but since it's already nearly 4 in the afternoon, I don't think that's going to happen. Guess I'll just get up early tomorrow and get a jump on the day. Oo, I just realized I might have time to actually post before I go to work! I'm totally ROCKIN' NaBloPoMo!!!

Love the photo of you & Stud, but no way could I survive that temperature indoors! What part of Italy did you say your family is from, girl? =)

You are rocking the Nababplomaofamsojokoo. I can't spell it anymore.
Love the photos.
Happy birthday to SM.
I can't believe you can have your house that cold. I almost turned on the heat this morning...it was in the house. (And all my critters were still alive.)

I've gotta admit that 47 degrees, indoors, isn't something I want to experience. ;)
