Hungry?

About a month or so ago, my BFF and I went to the show, and I was so excited to see posters for this movie. But, now that I've seen a few previews, and read some things, I'm terribly disappointed. I've been reading this book to my class for nearly the entire 20+ years I've been teaching. It's definately one of my favorites. This movie doesn't appear to have anything to do with the book. I'm not sure if I'll even see it, since Stud is way too old to go see it with me. (At least in his mind!) Maybe I can get my niece to join me? Eh, maybe I won't even bother....

We love that book too. We read it with the Giant Jam Sandwich book-- they seem to go together well.

Any other Kindie-level books you recommend?

I did not see this book before, not sure how I missed it. The movie did not look great to me either...perhaps we are just getting pickier? nah.

I'll go with you! I love that book, but am also disappointed with how little the movie has to do with the book. I suppose that is usually the case when those of us who love to read see the movie versions of books though. I'll make the trip any weekend except the one of Sep. 25th. We're in need of a date night!

I love reading that book to kids, too, and didn't know about the disconnect with the movie. Thanks for the heads up.

Me too, me too, me too! It's too bad it doesn't go with the book very well because the book has an AWESOME story line that would be so great on film. Can you imagine the possibilities with the special affects?
