You are either a child at heart, which I am pretty sure you are (especially that you 'follow' 'C') or Chicago has STORM days and being a teacher....well you know. Am I wrong in assuming both of the above? lol I can't wait for our first either!!!
You can have the snow. We had theater tickets last night. My friends up north couldn't use theirs. We didn't drive (opted for dependable subway and bus) and didn't even go out for dinner. I can wait forever for the snow to begin.
Friends that were off island yesterday got stranded in snow, and w/out power... here on the island we lost more trees & shingles than when Irene hit this past summer. Staying in by the woodburning stove with hot tea and a book might have been the best idea I've had since 2011 appeared.... That said... I love the hell out of a good blizzard. Born in Chicago myself, I often laugh at the folks here than moan about 2" of snow... but Western MA (& PA) got SLAMMED. In fact I think it's just been put in the history books as far as amount/time of year. I am however VERY happy that these past two weeks I wouldn't shut up about how it was going to snow long before Thanksgiving. Granted we only got sick amounts of rain on the island... but damnit! I sooo called this one!
This started out as a place to document the craziness that was my job as a Chicago Public School teacher. However, over the past 5 or so years, it's become more about the craziness that is my life.
