Not that this is news...

...since I've posted a million times over the years about Chicago's crazy weather...

I know I told you all that it was cold (about 33) and SNOWY on the Friday of Halloween, and that on that Monday before, it was 80.  Well, in between, we've had some beautiful days in the mid to high 60's, including today.  Monkey was all mine today, and we spent LOTS of time outside, feeding the birds and squirrels, and just playing.  As we were playing, I spied THIS in my planter box.
What the hell?!  Are you kidding me?  I guess I shouldn't be TOO surprised since I've noticed lots of "new" stuff in the past week or so.  One of my day lillies popped a new bloom, my rose bush has new, green shoots, and I noticed my parents' hostas had a few new shoots with flower buds.  It IS November 5, isn't it?

Well, as confused as nature may be, I am LOVING this weather!!  I'd take it 365 days a year.  Plus, you KNOW I'd take Monkey 365 days a year.

Here's another little taste of what I've been keeping from you while I've been AWOL....

I'm not a fan of the up and down weather. I would take the cold and snow all year, but I'm a bit insane. And pregnant and absolutely boiling all the time. Love that Monkey!

It has been hot and cold here too but I am not looking forward to snow. I do have a new coat and cute boots and sweaters and a fireplace so there's that......
