OK...

...I just signed on to blogger to read my favorite blogs, and even I had to do a double-take at my weather widget. It says 2. 2!! My son and I just came in from an errand less than an hour ago, and we both wore hooded sweatshirts. Maybe it's just us....

I talked to my brother in Minneapolis this morning and he said it was -16 when he woke up. By the time he left for work at 9 AM, it was a BALMY -4.

Craziness.

I told him when God makes it THAT cold someplace, he clearly meant for HUMANS NOT TO LIVE THERE!!!!

Ok that's just not right. I came in from taking out the garbage and I think it's about 45 degrees maybe? and I about keeled over from the cold. Can I please have your blood transfused into my veins!?!?!?

Have I mentioned I love your playlist? It makes me want to have a drink and just dance all by myself!

I gotta tell you, My kids and I are the same. I have a new co-worker from California and he REALLY bundles up. I was getting ready to leave without a scarf or hat last night and he commented that I was hardcore Chicago. haha! So I guess you are hardcore too!

2. Ohhh dear. I think I'd pass out from the pain of the piercing cold. I usually run a little warm though. Stay warm! Don't get sick!

2!!! 2!!! that's heat stroke compared to when I was there in December and it was MINUS 29!! You live in one crazy town girl, but you do have AWESOME food! I gained ridiculous weight on trial there!

HWHL-Ok, we're not as bad as Minneapolis, that's for sure. Hell, I'd probably have to break out a coat if I lived there! ;-)

Smiley-I love you! That's all. :)

BonDon-So glad you like it. I know it's a very eclectic mix of music, but they're all songs I adore. Come to think of it, I've been meaning to update/add to it. Maybe this weekend...

Christine-We ARE pretty hardcore here, aren't we? Yay us!

Stephanie-You're too cute. Funny you should mention that. I meant to write about a couple of my kids who literally came in crying this morning because they came to school without gloves on, and their hands were red and burning. Poor babies!! I had to let them stand at the sink and put their hands in warm water for a while :(

Girl Next Door-Well, just to be fair, that 30 below was the windchill, not the actual temperature. Our actual temp is about 0 right now, so I can't even imagine what the windchill is at the moment. I've got the news on right now, and they keep talking about the snow coming. Our low today was -1, according to our weatherman. Thursday, our predicted low will be -13. Hmmm, maybe I should at least look for my coat...

I LOVE it when it's so biting cold!! LOVE it. Because it usually means that it's sunny!!!! I would much rather have 2 degrees and sunny than 50 degrees and rainy any day. Plus, there's something invigorating about fighting off the chill.

Or maybe that's what I've brainwashed myself to think living in Chicago all these years....

I'm with 8741. I would MUCH rather have the cold with some rays of sun than nasty ass gray all damn winter long!!! Heck I'm still cold when it's 50 so what's the difference????

Hey, Smiley, I had an interesting revelation the other day that I've been meaning to share with you. I was talking to someone about how you and I are so completely opposite when it comes to this weather stuff. I've been saying for a while now that I have the complete opposite of SAD. I get sad, depressed, cranky, etc. in the summer, when it's hot and sunny. Sunny days in the winter usually do the same thing. It suddenly occurred to me while I was talking that perhaps the reason I have these feelings toward sunny weather is because the bright sun almost always triggers a migraine. It makes perfect sense, doesn't it? Today, despite the temp being in the single digits, it was very bright and sunny, and I hated it!

What do you think?
