A couple of interesting things I found in the paper so far this morning...

Bone-chilling temperatures ahead as nasty weather continues

Tales from the Frigid Front: Stuck in a surreal scene on Lake Shore Dr.

Editor's snow hero: CTA bus driver

This has become the image that is being used to represent the Blizzard of 2011. This is Lake Shore Drive, and some of the cars that were abandoned during the storm. Here's an even better view from the air. Amazing.

That first picture was very similar to the one a friend sent me yesterday, which (at first), I thought had been "doctored". It's really unbelievable. And I KNOW you guys can handle massive snow, but this storm was unbelievable....

Hope you are safe and warm inside.. enjoying your "internest"! :)

Ho-Ly-Cow. We had 7 inches of fast snow right at rush hour last week and "Cars were scattered along the road like confetti after the World Series parade." It took some people NINE HOURS to get home. Commutes that take an hour took NINE. It took me an hour to go 1.5 miles to my house from the metro. I was counting my blessings. Why don't we all move to FLORIDA?!
