Nelson Gill was wonderful! We had such a good time. The babies had a blast, singing and dancing with him. Dori and I are discussing having him come back and do a show for PreK-1st. It would be great.
I'm so happy that I don't have to go to school tomorrow. Or Friday, for that matter. It's going to make for a much less stressful week. I really only have to work Thursday, as far as I'm concerned. I did, however, stay until almost 5 tonight to set things up for the sub for tomorrow. Let's just hope the sub actually uses the plans I left. History dictates, sadly, that he won't. Oh well, I know I did what I was supposed to, and that's all I can do.
Dori and I are already planning what we're going to do tomorrow when we ditch the boring, waste-of-time workshop. We're thinking of going to Pompei for lunch. Yum! (I hope I'm making my friends who've defected a little jealous ;-) )
My little darling decided to stay at his grandma's again tonight, so I think I'm going to take advantage of some "me" time and fill my tub. Nothing like watching Dancing with the Stars from a hot bubble bath. Thank you, Grandma! This one's for you....

Beeeeeyatch!!!!! I AM SO EFFIN' JEALOUS!!!
Grrr!!! I LOVE Pompei. I grew up on Bishop & Taylor in Little Italy where Pompei Bakery first started and I remember the delicious smells that would waft out of that haven of carbs, herbs and cheeses. Yum.
Enjoy in good health and remember that I'll get my revenge on you when you come down in February.
Tom and I LOVED eating at the Pompei on Sheffield! OH OH Christina downloaded will remember this....
Christina this is for you (hope you don't mind I'm posting this on here Chitown)
Ok, remember when the 4 of went to Pompei for dinner and we're sitting there, chomping on our pizza chatting away and all of the sudden you're looking down at your pants. We notice you tugging at your waist sort of perplexed so we all stop and watch what you're doing and then you exclaim, "Oh no. Not again. My pants are on backwards!"
I will never forget that. That must have been 7 or 8 years ago. And the other thing I remember is that you said you got the pants at k-mart. No offense to k-mart or the fact that you got your backward pants there, but you always look so cute and polished that it just threw me for a loop. Do you still have those pants?
Ladies!!
I'm so glad I got the reaction I was hoping for. Just to rub it in, we DID go to Pompei today, and it was awesome! I got my usual, Italian Chopped Chicken Salad. Yum! I haven't had one of those in ages! We had a lovely, relaxing lunch, and basically missed the whole second half of the seminar. Sadly, I couldn't convince my two coworkers to sign in and leave in the morning(which is my usual M.O.) but by lunch, they were ready to play hooky with me. Actually, my one friend was a "Pompei virgin" so I hope she enjoyed her lunch.
Laura - totally HILARIOUS Christina story!!! I'm sure she'll appreciate you sharing with the world ;-)
N - just reading your post got me even more excited about coming in Feb. I can't wait for us to hang out!!
I heart Pompeii. Jonathan and I did our wedding something or other there. Shower? Rehearsal? Who knows. Thank God that for that occasion, my pants were on frontwards. I completely forgot about the K-marts!!!! Those pants rocked. They probably fell apart, busted by my butt in the wrong spot.
