As in spring break. As in what I'm on this week. Thank you, 8lb 6oz newborn baby Jesus. (Just one of the many movies I plan to watch this week. And, if you don't know what movie I'm talking about, I'm not sure we can still be friends.)
I plan to enjoy the hell out of this break. Today, I just may stay in bed all day, who knows. I have my computer here on my lap, and I stack of magazines I haven't had time to read yet. Tomorrow I'll be meeting up with a bunch of teacher friends for lunch at one of my favorite restaurants. No plans yet for Wednesday, other than maybe hogging up some Monkey time. Thursday, CSJ, Stud and I will be taking a trip up to Milwaukee to an art museum that CSJ read about last month. Friday, no plans yet other than to maybe dye Easter eggs, since that's been the tradition in my family forever. Some of my long-time readers may remember past Good Friday posts where I've shared Stud and my nieces' creations. (If you're really bored today, you can click on the "Easter" label over there on the right to take a little trip down memory lane.)
What do you guys do on your spring break? Do you have certain traditions you like to follow? Tell me, tell me! I have of LOTS of time to read this week, ya know!

Alas, Spring break has past for me, but I AM taking Good Friday and Easter Monday off.
Tell Milwaukee I said hello! Love that city!
I'm jealous that you have Spring break and mine is over!! We usually try and escape the cold:)
Our spring break is finished, but David will be coming home for Easter weekend, so I'm very excited for that. The plan is to have friends over for Thai take-out the night he arrives. The rest of the weekend will probably revolve around whatever he wants to do and eat - I've asked and will be running to the store for ingredients for Kalbi ribs and Strawberry Pretzel "Salad" (it's really dessert, in spite of its name). Have a blast with your guys!
P.S. - one of my word verifications is "beeness" - I love it! As in, "that is none of your beeness!" Hahaha! Love it.
Oh no, I had to google the 8lb 6oz baby Jesus thing, can we please still be friends?
Spring (march for us Canadians) break is long gone, but Easter is quickly upon us.
We have always tried to colour eggs, but have never been very successful at it?! Hmm, I wonder why, I am a fairly creative person, hmm maybe it is something I need to try again.
Enjoy your week, and the holiday, and that whole 8lb 6oz baby Jesus movie :)
Hey there girl! Sounds like you are gonna have an AWESOME spring break. :) One of the best things about being out of school next year will be having the same spring break as my kiddos so we can do fun stuff. (If they're not allergic to being seen with their mama that is). This spring break is homework and prepping for my second round of student teaching in special ed. Woot!
Enjoy your break, especially time with the adorable monkey girl! :)
The kids will be out of school in three days. Our break will be softball, soccer, xbox, photo safaris, and much writing.
Hope your break is grand, and greetings from downstate.
Best,
Joe

My kids are off of break and back to school this week. But Anna is coming back for Easter. The gas is killing us though. It's a 4+hr drive one way from college. Oh well, its nice to see her.
"Baby Jesus?" He was a man...he had a BEARD!!!!!"
We are on spring break this week too. No traditions for us...but Linds and I are going to take a little road trip. I'l share that later with the world. Cause the world needs to know.
I hope you rest up, cause you know it will fly by!

Enjoy...stay in bed, eat, play and enjoy some more...I am!
