Are you scared of being in open water?
Scared to death!! I have a hard time being out on a boat. I need to see the shore. I've gone on one cruise in my life, and I had a VERY hard time looking out at the water because there was no land to be seen anywhere. It scared the ever-livin-shit out of me!!!
Despite the story I shared yesterday, I do not like swimming in the ocean. Actually, yesterday's story is a perfect example of just why that is!

Haha! When I read the first line of this post, I thought to myself, "Isn't that the gal who posted about swimming in the ocean yesterday?"
So, I'm glad you called yourself out.
Fish touching my legs scares me. I never go into the ocean deeply....well, not since I saw jaws!!!
So I take it you don't watch "The Deadliest Catch?" =)
You know that we live on a peninsula, and that Gregg takes a ferry to and from work every day, right? We take ferries all the time - they are a part of life here - but we can see the other shore most of the time. The ride takes 30 - 34 minutes.
Your lakes are very large and scary out there - like inland seas - so I would have a very healthy respect for them, too. But I couldn't resist getting out on the water in a boat. Not a big swimmer myself, but I love boats.
I agree! I am old, and I don't like to swim anywhere where I cannot see the bottom of!!!
