Oops...

Today, right before dismissal, I sat my babies in the auditorium (where they wait to be picked up) when all of a sudden, my precious AP sneezed. However, the sneeze sounded a little more like someone sat on a duck. I LOUD duck. Yep, she sneezed a little wind out of her bottom! I was just going to pretend I didn't hear it. When I turned to say, "God bless you," I could see the mortified look on her face. For a minute, I thought she might cry. Then, one of the girls sitting next to her whispered, "She pooted!" I froze for just a second, not knowing if the tears were going to come, or if some teasing was going to start. Instead, AP broke out into an embarrassed grin, which then turned into a giggle. From there, it went into an uncontrollable fit of laughter, with her friends joining her. I had to turn around so they would see me giggling right along with them. Ah...they're so easily amused, aren't they? And, I'm glad they haven't reached that age where they get so easily embarrassed by bodily functions. They still think it's funny. I, on the other hand, think it's disgusting, but it's not about me, is it?

i personally have always giggled at farts, and for some reason find them to be funny. diane thinks they are ill mannered and gross. my sister would NEVER let one slip, so i am the odd duck in the family. well, wait a minute... my brother thinks they are funny, too. and my kids do too! we always laugh about them. i remember once [prolly more than once] in church when i was 12 i had such bad gas, it hurt. there we were sitting in the quiet mass and suddenly i couldnt hold it no mo and the fucking loudest toot came out, echoed on the pew [bench] pardon the pun... almost to a musical tune!!! lmao... and echoed in the stillness like a shrieking baby in a sound proof room. ohmygod. i quickly loooked around as if it wasnt me and was trying to find the source but my siblings nearly peed themselves laughing then i started laughing and peed right on my seat. the whole bench was shaking from us laughing. i had to leave at communion...

bwahahahahaha

i'm just giggling over here....
a while back, my 7-year-old really let one rip and I, without thinking about it, said "welllll God Bless you!!"
to which he replied, in a manner so serious I almost laughed out loud, "mommy...i didn't sneeze...i farted."
yeah....farts. that's some funny stuff sometimes.

**okay...seriously? the word verifification is "stincess"...which made me think of 'stench' and i'm giggling again. wow. the 12-year-old in me tonight is having a blast!
