The wrong way to start a Friday...

This was NOT what I should have read at 6am, before getting ready for work:

oh my god, cheech, that is fucking

what a bunch of illegal shit they have done. well maybe not quite illegal but def. immoral.

it proves my belief that everything all boils down to money, always.. how sad.

and i dont understand why they cut sophomores sports when its right in the middle of the high school years, wouldnt it be better [well of course not to cut ANY] but if they have to, cut freshman, so the kids could then have 3 solid years in the running and get a chance to be good at it.

so basically all the pretties in suits get all the income whilst the teachers and other staff who matter the most and do all the work- get the shaft. i thought chicago was a rich city. if they dont invest in the kids now, they are going to be their future and how will it make for a good future if they were deprived of good things all kids in school should have? thats fucked up and i am so mad for you. so discouraging to be a teacher in a system that cheats, lies, and fucks the little people over like that.

i'm SO sorry my friend that it sucks like that. SO SORRY.

hugs, and a few drinks...

my word verif. is bumulos... like the ones running the CPS.

Jason, as himself said...

I just don't get it. This sounds a bit like Los Angeles Unified as well. One of the higher ups had his own private office bathroom remodeled at the price of a million dollars, while teachers were being laid off.

That awful shit happens everywhere. Letting big business into education was the beginning of the end.

This just really peeves me off like NONE OTHER. We actually have a LAW in the state of KY that protects administrators from having their salary reduced. (Last year Louisville Metro Top GOVT. Officials took a 10% pay cut....and it was asked why the central office of the school board didn't....the response was that legally they were not able to.) WTF?

I am ready for some summer eats....and time to actually cook something. I have so many recipes I want to try!

On my, the knight in shining armor is her husband of 6 months...he hates doing anything with our family. He owns my dad $5000 that he has promised him since February. He will often times not even come out of the bedroom the entire time my parents visit at their house. My sister always said he is sick or didn't get any sleep, etc....but he is a lazy rude ass.

I'm sorry you are not getting any break this summer. :( I understand with funds though. I have the 3rd and 4th off....then I have a week with the Teaching American History Grant (includes a trip to Boston, MA!!!), and three weeks with the Louisville writing project. I can't wait for July 3rd my official vacation will begin!
