Today's Highlights

I was working with some 1st graders today who I'd never met before. While I was working in a small group with some babies during reading, one of the girls randomly came over to me and whispered in my ear. "You're so pretty."

Then later, while we were taking our afternoon bathroom break, a different little girl got out of line, walked over to me and pulled me down to her, then whispered, "Mrs. ChiTown, you're so beautiful. You're beautiful like a princess." I seriously almost cried.

Possibly one of my favorite things about being a first grade teacher - the way they love and accept us, and think we're beautiful! What a great gift we receive from those babies, at Christmas and all the time. :)

MERRY CHRISTMAS to you, CSJ, and Lex! :) I hope you have a great one filled with SNOW!

Thanks for the adoption blog links. :) I am going to start reading up on them. When we go in April, I am guessing it will take up to two years from that point. We will just be beginning the process then. Many countries have length of marriage and length of employment requirements. HH will be at his job for almost one year, and we will be close to three years of marriage, so we should be in a good place to start. Not sure what country, we are open!

I hope you post what CSJ gets you (if it's PG-13... ;)
