They so crazy!

If you've been coming here for any length of time, you know that I LOVE my morning news show. A while back, they put together this promo, which of course I thought was a joke. I thought they were just playing it during their show, for laughs. Well, imagine my surprise when I saw it played again the next day. I realized it was an actual commercial, and laughed twice as hard! They are NUTS!

Now, if this gave you a laugh, and put you in a good mood (and how could it not?!) spread some of that cheer by going down to the post below and making a contribution. :)

Just out of curiosity, what's the show like? You've been quiet on the subject of the teachers' strike. Any reason?

jwg - The show is an actual news show, and they do "serious" news. However, they pepper it with LOTS of hilarity. The show starts at 4 or 4:30 am, and runs until 9 am, so there's plenty of time for the fun.

As far as the strike stuff goes, as much as I am 100% behind the teachers, this doesn't really affect me in any way. When I walked away, I walked away. This just confirms to me that I made the right choice. All this strike nonsense does is infuriate me because it's all such BS. The media has skewed every single detail to make teachers out to be demons, and it just makes my blood boil. I've been trying not to let my blog be a place of anger and negativity, so it's better if I just don't write about it.

I would watch that show. Seriously. It kind of reminds me of "The Newsroom", how they refuse to pander to people....

Of course, "The Newsroom" is fictional....

And I ALWAYS know that teachers are in the right. ALWAYS. My partner has been teaching for two decades and she works harder than anyone I know and makes about a third of most people's salary. And out of all her teacher friends and co-workers, there are only a few bad apples. The rest are just stellar.

Hey, any news about Chris? She's been pretty silent. I wonder if she finally decided to move in with her sister's family.

Maria - I think you would enjoy the WGN Morning Show. I believe you can stream it live online. A little something to remember the next time you decide to play hooky. ;-)

I've been thinking about Chris a lot myself lately. I think I'm going to give her a call right now.
