It makes perfect sense!!

I think I may have just discovered why I have such a high tolerance for pain*. Check it out.
(*For example-I have endured both a 19-hour labor ordeal, which ended in near-emergency surgery, and several root canals without any drugs.)

Now I get it! Great article. I wonder whose idea it was to do this research.
I quit swearing when I had the kids, but I took it up again after Katie was diagnosed with cancer, and I gave her permission to swear, too. I wish I didn't swear, because I still don't like how it sounds, but it definitely diffuses pain.

there's a lot to be said for a good old bout of cussing and swearing! but boy your dentist and your ob/gyn must have been begging you to take an anaesthetic already!! ;-)
