I am completely annoyed with myself for not posting in so long. I have about 200 posts written in my head, but I obviously haven't gotten them here yet! Ugh!
This past week or so has had me on such an emotional roller coaster regarding the Hell-Hole. I can't really write about it right now, as I'm far too comfortable lying on the couch. I realize that doesn't make much sense, but I need to be sitting properly at a desk or table to really "write." About all I can do in this position is read other people's blogs and check my email. So, I'll have to come back later to share what's been going on. And, I have some pictures to post, including some of Stud, since I've had several requests to see how his hair has grown in since the St. Baldrick's Day event.
We are down to the last 10 school days, and part of my emotional turmoil is that I'm already starting to miss the babies. Crazy, I know, since we're still in school, but I really love them. This has been one of the best classes I've ever had, and I'm really going to miss them.
OK, well, I was really just checking in, hoping my "peeps" haven't completely written me off. Happy Hump Day!

It has to be hard to say "goodbye" to "your" babies every year. Do you get to see them in the hall, or at lunch or recess, as they grow up and move into other grades? Do you get to have a class picture or party, or make a memory book? I'm sorry this is so difficult. I hope summer vacation will cheer you up!
I agree with Karen. That's probably the hardest thing to do as a teacher -- to let your kiddies fly. I don't know how you do it. When I was in school, I always remember the last days being bittersweet.
I'm stuill here..dying a slow school death with you. I still have 12 more days. Open House is tomorrow so we can check that one off the list. hang in there.
You are so sweet...'going to miss the babies', I have a feeling THEY are all GOING to MISS YOU!!!
Hope you survive the ending.
Take care,
Suz
That was the worst part of changing schools last year. Some of my "babies" are in third grade now. When I was at the school, I would at least SEE them from time to time. I only made it back to the old school one time this year before the morning bell and didn't get to see very many of the kids. :(
