I took these last week to share with you.  Nothing spectacular, but I love a pretty sunrise/sunset.

 

This was taken at the red light while I was waiting to turn to go to the gym.  Usually, it's still dark out when I go to the gym, but I was running a bit behind on this morning.  You can barely see the Planet Fitness sign, but it's behind the White Castle sign.  Yep, there's a White Castle next to my gym.  Thank God I've kept from giving into the temptation!

On Monday, my niece and I went out together for lunch.  Well, lunch in my book, breakfast for her, since she woke up at 11, then called to see if we could "go to breakfast."  Anyway, I  just HAD to take a picture of this sign in front of the fire station that's down the street from her house.  I think I've mentioned before that we've been having a "snow drought" around here.  We broke all kinds of record this year for going so long without any snowfall here.

Well, now it's Wednesday.  Look what's FINALLY happening around here!!!

Yes, Buster is still alive!!! I'll bet some of you were wondering, but afraid to ask.  This is the view out my living room window.  I've been watching for a couple hours now as the beautiful snow swirls outside my kitchen window.  I feel like I'm in a snow globe!!  It's making me VERY happy.  I could use a little happy around here right now.

22 years ago today...

...this happened.

It's been a hell of a ride since then.  I'm tightening my seat belt in anticipation of what our future holds.

(Maybe I should have told Magnum to buy me a new scale for our anniversary, cuz I think mine is broken.  I'm down another 2lbs this morning.  How is that even possible?  Maybe my body FINALLY realizes that I've been bustin' my ass at the gym for 2 hours a day for the past 5 weeks!)

Shocked myself again today!

I know I've been a bit wrapped up in my other blog lately, but I figure I should embrace the enthusiasm while I have it, right? 

But, I haven't forgotten about my Bloggy Buddies, I swear.  I still think about things I want to write about during the day, but sadly, my old brain usually forgets about them by the time I sit down to type.

 I took a couple pictures the other day for you guys, though.  Sorry it took a couple days to remember that!

Over the weekend, it was in the high 50s around here.  I veritable heat wave!!  Then, in less than 24 hours time, the temps plummeted.  When I left to go to the gym Monday (or was it Sunday?!) this is what my windshield looked like:

 I thought I had taken a picture of my thermometer, showing that is was 14 degrees that morning.  I had to pull out a hoodie to wear over my T-shirt!

 I leave my water bottle in the car after the gym, so I won't forget it, and the darn thing was frozen solid!!

My brother had Monkey on Saturday.  We were all at Grandma and Grandpa's house, hanging out.  Here's just a random picture of her and Grandma reading a book.  (She's got her favorite boots on!)

 

Ok, I know this is the lamest post ever.  But, I don't care, I'm still flying high thanks to today's numbers.  Just be happy for me, damn it! =)

I'm watching my favorite daytime news channel, WGN, and they're doing a cooking segment.  The man is making some kind of braised meat.  What caught my ear is that one of the ingredients is ONE CUP OF TEQUILA.  Say whaaaa?!  YUM!!!  I'm gonna look that recipe up right now!  You can do if you click on this link for WGN.  You're welcome. =)
